Boarding Rules

Need a bird sitter?  Send your parrot to Camp Featherlust!

Camp Featherlust is a great place to board your companion parrot(s)!

While here, your feathered friend will receive great food, play time,

Socialization, treats, and lots of love and attention during their stay.

Dr. Bourke, an avian certified vet, is on-call in case of an emergency.

Our staff at Featherlust Farm all have a great love for parrots and

are knowledgeable about their care. 

*Note: some boarding rules have changed. 

A vet check is required within 2 months of the boarding date.
  We must receive a copy of the health certificate.  We can not board ill birds.

Reservations for small and medium birds must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
Reservations for large macaws and cockatoos must be made 4 weeks in advance.
We are limited on space for large parrots.
Last minute reservations may not be accepted if space is unavailable.

All birds must be picked up on the specified date so the cage is ready for the next boarder.
Failure to pick up a bird on the specified date without notification will result in
suspension of boarding privileges.

4.      Any special need for a boarding bird must be discussed with us prior to the first day of boarding.  This includes diet, or otherwise.

If using our cages, each bird MUST be provided with 2 or more of its own toys,
 or toys will be provided at the owner’s expense.

Small birds may board in their own cage, however the cage MUST be clean upon arrival.
  No exceptions!

 

Fees are as follows (effective October 1, 2007):

Small birds (lovebirds, parakeets, cockatiels, budgies, finches, etc..) $8.00 / day
$50.00  / week
Medium birds (Conures, Amazons,African grays, etc..) $14.00 / day
$90.00 / week

$35.00 extra weekly for two birds in shared cage
Large Birds ( Cockatoos, Macaws, etc...) $ 17.00 / day
$110.00 / week

$45.00 extra weekly for two birds in shared cage
